Hand Sanding a Knife

The most tedious process in making a high quality knife is the hours spent hand sanding a hardened blade to get the finish. I go the extra mile with the handmade knives, here at TriStar Knives. This knife is made from W2 steel, which reveals a Hamon pattern that occurs during the heat treat and shows during the sanding process. As you can see in the video below, I spent hours hand sanding the blade to reveal this unique characteristic in the blade.
